My Grandmother was a lovely lady
So sweet, caring and kind
She loved everyone she knew
Even those who left her behind
My Grandmother to me would make
The earth spin and the sun shine
I felt so lucky to know her
So lucky that she was myne
I loved seeing her
And hearing the tales she had to tell
Everything I loved about her
Her clothes, her looks, her farmiliar smell
But they are no longer with us
And nor are the charms she always preached
I do miss her so much and I hope Heaven
Was the place she reached
I will always remember her
And I hope she lives still
For she had a good life
And I hope she still will
Oh Daunton Beryl Grinling
If you're out there
I hope you can reach out to me
And somehow answer my prayer
Tell me you are happy
Tell me you are fine
Tell me I can touch other hearts
The same way you touched myne
