Should I hate
The far-away star
That dazzles
When I see
The star shine
Through the empty 
Center of the tree
Cut to make room
For telephone wires.
Should I hate
The far-away star
Because I cannot
Touch its light.   Should I hate

Because it is not near
And does not 
Fulfill the premise
That contact
Brings bliss.   I cannot rid
The sky of this star,
But I can never
Touch the star.
